W1: "The World I Want to Live In"

"The World I Want to Live In"

Nowadays, everyone tends to dislike or use the word "hate" and blame the world and makes the world filled with negative energy. People are blaming what they experienced and what the world done to them. There's a possibility that people are affected by social media's content that created by some people with ulterior motives who try to make people more aggressive and make the environment of social media become more negative. This can cause many people increasing feelings of anxiety, loneliness, and hopelessness.

So that the world that I want to live in will be a world full values of respect, empathy, freedom and justice. Government will be the important role to make this world with the collaboration with the people. People would like to live in a relax and enjoy world that can slow down their step to appreciate the little things in life, reflect on what truly matters or spend time with their loved ones. This is very important for people because it helps their stress release and improve their emotional well-being. So, in this world people will have the responsibility to ensure the justice, equality and harmony. People will be friendly to others, the argument between people will be uncommon and people will live in a peaceful and understanding environment.

A world that has no aggressive emotion and loss of patience will also be the world I want to live in. Regarding laws in the world, it is important to have human rights, anti-discrimination and fair trails. In this world, crime will become a rare thing, people will grow up and get along with empathy, respect and friendliness. Conflicts or arguments will be settled peacefully but not with violence. For the discrimination part, especially the disadvantaged group, women, kids and LGBTQ+ community. These people often face unfair treatment in the society, for example the pregnant employee. According to Shah (2022), some women were told their productivity would be low, especially a month before their delivery date, or were unfairly accused of lying about their pregnancy during job interviews, even if they were not pregnant at the time. So, women will be treated equally to men in this world. There are one in four girls and one of 13 boys will experience sexual abuse when they reach 18 (Jeglic, 2021). But this will not happen in this world, Children will be well protected and grow up in a safe and caring environment. For the LGBTQ+ people, they are facing much hostile and unfair treatment in their daily life and job-seeking journey. So, in this world, no one will treat them differently and judge them; everyone will just get along with them normally.

Why does such a world matter to me? We are sure that have experienced or seen someone got bullied by others by physically, verbally, cyberbully or workplace bullying. People being treated differently or unfairly, it can cause them to feel isolated, lose their motivation and develop mistrust. In this world, everyone can have the chance to live in an equal and safe environment. When the world is peaceful, justice and harmony, people can just focus on their own growth, happiness and doing meaningful things, which can benefit to a society. People will also feel valued, which can inspire hope and motivation when justice and equality prevail.

The challenges that stop this world from becoming a reality today will be conflicts between people, wars, inequality, and discrimination. Conflicts and wars cause immense suffering and tear communities apart. It can make people to live safely and peacefully. At the same time, discrimination based on race, religion, gender or people's financial status. These issues create barriers that make societies from coming together and moving forward as one.

In summary, I know it will take time to make this world but there are many people putting efforts to change the world. Although challenges remain, the collective commitment to making the world a better place shows that progress is possible. It means that we can move closer to a future that is peaceful, just and harmonious.
